What have I done?
Nice to meet you! My name is Jonathan Tang, and I’m an Instructional Designer who is passionate about technology and using it to help people learn in an ever-complicated, rapidly changing workplace. I have a background working with companies that work with highly technical procedures and products. I worked with clients who needed to teach their employees anything from safe alcohol fermentation, to grocery retail best practices, to dealing with difficult customers in retail settings.

What can I do?
I have a passion for transforming something complicated into something simple and relatable by presenting it in a different perspective: my goal when teaching someone is to see their face like up for that “aha!” moment. For that reason, I developed a versatile toolbox and can work in a variety of learning formats. I know how to use audio editing software like Audacity and Adobe Audition, video editing programs like Captivate and Adobe Premiere, and photo editing software like Adobe Photoshop. I have also conducted virtual workshops using web conferencing programs like Zoom.
What am I doing?
In my free time, I am an avid tea drinker and voracious reader - my favourite genres are SciFi and Fantasy. I also regularly stream on Twitch and compete in fighting games like Street Fighter. On top of travelling the world to participate in tournaments, I also create video guides for my YouTube channel to help newer fighting game players improve!
